A teaching portfolio is an important document that showcases a teacher’s achievements in teaching. It includes selected documents and materials on teaching activities and presents evidence of their effectiveness. Having a comprehensive teaching portfolio has been vital to my success in receiving national teaching excellence awards. Teaching Portfolio which is a description of an instructor’s major strengths and teaching achievements.It describes documents and materi-als which collectively suggest the scope and quality of an instructor’s teaching proficiency. Over 400 institutions nationwide use Teaching. The portfolio is a performance‐based component of candidate appraisal at the completion of the graduate program. Portfolios provide and contextualize evidence of teaching experience, effectiveness, and development.
